You can see despite using the same ink and techniques on both sides, the DIEP flap skin from the belly retained it lighter compared to the other side chest wall skin. So, at touch up I evened out the 2 side areolas and added more to #3deffect and details. That's why the 2 step method is so important. Different skin can act differently. Sometimes it's spot on…other times it's unpredictable. It's best to let the skin REVEAL to you how it heals then go from there.
After touch up. I also neutralized her 2 radiation markers on her midline.

After 1st session, she decided to have a revision surgery to move her right implant up and more medial. Her right nipple tattoo got moved laterally slightly but still in an acceptable position. This is healed 1st session after touch up. No work required to areolas, just #3deffect and details.

Her surgically created nipples are low and very lateral on her breast mounds... they're also flattened which allowed me to ignore the placement and put lovely #3Dnippletattoos in a more aesthetic position and avoiding attempting to put her #3deffect portion of the tattoo on that thin skin (this is a safety issue which is more important). Her original areolas were a rich brown so this color for coverage was decided upon. She will return later for touch up with me and plan for perhaps something decorative to cover the old remaining tattoo in the future.
